Generating headaches on left side of head.
Have been working hard for the past two hours on conceptual cognitive tasks. This type of mental exertion brings on a headache fairly quickly while a general futzing around does not. The problem is that if I persist then the headaches get worse and will take a day, or more, to clear.
Headaches and Further Injury
Dr H has advised that I may do further injury if I continue to exert myself when these headaches occur. This is extremely frustrating as I have a great deal to get done and am now forced to shift to other activities.
Constriction
Noted strange constriction in diaphragm area of chest. Had something similar a few days ago but dismissed it as not of import. I remember that I had a similar experience over a month ago when doing a grocery shop. That was the first noted instance and I believe I logged that event in the ALS Log.
Great difficulty sleeping last night. Had dinner at 1800 and then went to bed around 1930. I was extremely tired due my inability to sleep the previous night. But I then woke just after midnight due to upper arm pain and again had trouble getting back to sleep.
Imagery
I wanted to include the above header image as a means to bracket the header image on the prior post with two typical Ottawa winter images.
The transition from the full light of summer and fall occurs gradually and is not sensed. It is only when two images are juxtaposed that the great contrast between the bright light of late summer and the much darker, low contrast light of a typical winter day becomes apparent. I suspect this change in the light also predisposes me to depression. Dr H has spoken to me of this and suggested light therapy but I do not at present have the resources to provide for such therapy.
Wanted to record the data on headaches and then see if working on a simple post might mitigate them but the headaches persist.
