Heat

Heat. Heat. Heat. The recent high temperatures have caused problems. The house lacks any form of air conditioning. I have both ceiling fans and portable fans that I can place in open windows to bring in fresh air, or to force heated air out. But the fans only deliver a benefit if they have access to a source of cool air. Once external temperatures rise above internal temperatures the only thing to do is shut off the fans, close up the windows, and wait for external temperatures to once again drop below the internal temperature.

April End of Month Review

It is time for the April End of Month Review. I think these entries are helpful to me but I find them difficult. I am forced to compress a great deal of detail when my preference would be to include all the details. This is likely counter-productive.

Walking

Completed 175 miles in April, a big improvement over the 60 odd miles achieved in March. Having walked through the winter, I appear to be in good aerobic shape and can take the hill loop without much problem. Did experience shin splints during last trip to see Dr H and on the day following. Some pain in right front foot in big toe “push off” area but both of these issues appear to be moderating, or gone.

A Strange Day

Monday was a strange day. I was up before 0500 and worked through the morning performing the final assembly of the TAQ submission and the duplicate copy for the opposing lawyers. This work occupied me until around 1000 when I left for the post office.
