This is a picture of Colin in the plaza at the new Lansdowne Park. It was taken on December 25th and was part of my best Christmas ever.
On Christmas eve I worked until 0400 on legal submissions. I didn’t really want to do the work but I was in a groove and, when I think myself productive, I attempt to maximize output. Woke around noon on the 25th and found an email from Colin saying he was in Ottawa at the Lord Elgin. Woo hoo!!

Hiked over to Ontario today to buy 10 pounds of onions. In Québec onions come in 3 pound bags for $2.50 so the hike saved me over $5. I also went to MEC and redeemed a $10 bonus coupon and bought some rechargeable AAA batteries. Of course, once I arrived home it was clear what I really needed were rechargeable AA batteries. The correct battery was on my shopping list. I trusted my memory and forgot about the list.
I feel as if I am moving through molasses. Simple day to day tasks require an inordinate amount of time. Even the simplest undertaking will turn into a full day of frustrating work. A case in point – I had a letter from the condo association which required a response.
