Finally got a hair cut. Walked over 13 miles yesterday in minus 20 c with the wind chill. Today have been up since 0500 but having great difficulty in generating much enthusiasm for the work. Big contrast with yesterday when I was raring to go. Trying to understand the reason for this difference. Possible answers include:

Gonzo
Yesterday I woke at 0200. Unable to return to sleep, I started drafting a TAQ submission. By 0630, I was feeling fatigued. I had a number of tasks to complete before a threatened heavy rainstorm / ice-storm came through. One task was the purchase of a replacement printer cartridge. The copy shop did not open until 0900, so I attempted to nap from 0700 to 0800. Closed my eyes, but was unable to sleep. I was worried about the storm, and what needed to be accomplished before foot travel became difficult, or impossible.

Pedal to the Metal
Toward the end of 2015, I walked over 30 miles in two days. Normally, a rest day comes between each major episode of exertion. The occasion did not permit any interlude, or any opportunity for recovery. I was putting pedal to the metal, and I felt it.
