Imagery

I have just completed editing the prior post. And I find I am discontented with the imagery.

The header image shows some Ottawa construction scaffolding. It is a perfect introduction to the post: there are multiple elements, the sense is slightly claustrophobic, it is not entirely clear what is going on in the image, the subject appears mirrored or distorted. All of these things reflect aspects of my experience, lived aspects of an injury the Doctors only encounter in textbook descriptions.

Booker Reprised

I have been having a discussion with my son in regard to the content strategy for this blog. He is young and is concerned lest I do not conform to the prevailing standards on the Internet.

I am old and not sure I share his concern. As for standards on the Internet, I see no reason to introduce them now.

Brain Injury Recovery Prospects

Today I saw Dr H.

I am extremely dispirited. My brain injury recovery prospects do not appear positive. I have worked as best I am able to address my brain injury problems, to correct them, to somehow bootstrap my way back to a normal existence. I am coming to the realization that all the unwanted changes associated with the brain injury may be present for the remainder of my life. I am being forced into accepting this fact and I do not want to make that acknowledgement.
