Yesterday I hiked in to see Dr. D. Was up at 0400 and immediately began final trip prep. Left the house early in an unsuccessful attempt to beat the forecast rain showers. About a foot of wet snow had fallen overnight and extra time would be required to compensate for the drudgery of getting through unploughed sidewalks and diverting around the pedestrian shortcuts which were likely to be impassable.

March End of Month Review
Forced out of the house due to running out of aspirin. The irony is that on return, the pain appeared to have subsided. It may be possible to avoid a further dose. Started to document this fact in a post and realized it is time for the March End of Month Review.

Snow, Ice, and Freezing Rain
Up at 0300 and unable to return to sleep. Today, I face a 20 mile hike to attend a Concussion Research Group meeting. The distance is not a problem. I have attended three or four of these meetings to date. The problem derives from the fact the weather is expected to deteriorate. The days of spring warmth and sunshine have come to an end. In their place the forecast is for snow, ice, and freezing rain.
