When I first saw Dr. N, he asked me about my arms. I was surprised by his question. I considered my self to be “normal” in all respects. My own self image contained no suggestion of abnormality, or deformity.

Blood Vials
Up before alarm at 0600. Out of the house by 0727, arrived hospital 0745, and processed at 0800, 15 minutes before my scheduled time of 0815. The clinic extracted a huge amount of blood. At the last blood test (almost two years ago) there were just two sample vials. Today there was a double line of blood vials, standing as erect as a company of British redcoats on parade.

Medical Business
Very frustrated. Since seeing Dr N on Friday, all of this week has been devoted to tests, arranging tests, going to tests. I really dislike this medical business. Each test event removes me from the comfort zone of my normal routine and I find that I quickly encounter problems. Today I went for X-Rays, the service being provided by a private clinic in an area of Gatineau foreign to me. I spent time in planning route navigation, using Google maps to locate possible parking spaces and the best way to get there and back.
